Winter’s Edition of “Write Outside”

With spring like weather visiting the mountains of North Carolina, my husband and I took a short hike into the nearby national park. It was overcast when we started out, causing a slight chill to the air, but an hour into our hike the clouds scattered, leaving us to chase blue skies.

On my next blog, I hope to write about my dilemma between choosing time with friends and family versus protecting my time to write and the guilt that ensues. On this day I chose compromise. We hiked together, but each took time for our own passions. I found several of of natures chairs to kick back and write and my husband found several fishing holes to dip a line in.

Great quotes by all, but especially by Helen Keller after her very challenged beginning!

    Cara,
Beautiful country, much like the NW Oregon Coast. Like you, I would find myself watching the world around me instead of putting pen to paper. You should Google Astoria and Clatsop County Oregon. I think that you would like what you see.
