Sorry to be distant Blogosphere, but I have been busy living. The summer is known for taking time to have fun with family and friends in the great outdoors and we have been taking advantage of that. From the breezy SC coast to the woodsy NC mountains, all the way to the high heat indexes of Texas!

In all the planning, packing and playing, I’ve tried to stay on track with my journaling and fiction project but my blogging had to be sacrificed. Can’t do it all. It’s important to remind ourselves of that fact. Cut yourself some slack and you cut some stress out of your life. You know what Hemingway said- “In order to write about life, first you must live it.”
While in Texas, I attended our friends Sunday church service and later that week we strolled through Baylor University, where my friend is a professor. Those two events sparked at blog post idea, that I hope to write soon. As a writer, our wheels are always turning and one never knows what experience will inspire a story. So stay tuned!
Until then, I hope you all are out there living it up summer style, getting to write outside and making memories.
